Daytime running lights are the bright white lights you see on the front of many new cars. They are designed to help other drivers see your car approaching, even in bright sunlight. Many other countries, including Europe, are now including daytime running lights as a safety standard. They can now be fitted after-market to virtually any vehicle. The lights will turn on automatically when you turn on your engine and turn off when your headlights are turned on (to meet NZ warrant of fitness standards).

A slimline set of daytime running lights has 8 x super white bright LEDs per lamp yet has a lower power consumption. They are recommended where fitting space is restricted and will usually fit in between the front grill slots on the vehicle, or a set of daytime running lights features 5 x high power super white bright LEDs per lamp for superior visibility. They can be fitted after-market to most vehicles.
